Project Manager Position

re:Bloom is now recruiting project managers to oversee a team to create a website from the ground-up for a real small business owner. The role is all remote and only requires 10 hours a week for 10 weeks. Training is provided.

Project managers are our key to successful communication between re:Bloom, business client, and volunteer team.

Client experience

Interact with real clients on a weekly basis- Lead a team of 2 volunteers

Networking opportunity

Present your work to professionals at companies such as Facebook and McKinsey

Develop marketable skills such as web development and design

Have a genuine impact with women and minority small business owners

PM Responsibilities

Project management responsibilities include stunning coordination and completion of project on time within budget and within scope. They will oversee all aspects of projects, set interim deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor & summarize progress of projects to the Director of Programs.

Developing + following project timelines with team

Coaching individuals to meet personal, team, and client goals

Facilitating all client communications, including sending agendas + follow up emails

Calibrating with other project managers to look for process improvements

Supervising projects to make sure they meet a certain quality threshold

Supporting your teams to ensure a great volunteer experience

Escalate any urgent issues to executive board team in a timely manner

Requirement

A successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she has had leadership experience and can speak to their critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Professional communication skills in regards to working with a team and client

Strong initiative on individual and team responsibilities

Ability to scope and delegate tasks

Experience in writing documentation

Prior design or team management experience

Time Commitment

Project Managers at re:Bloom play an important part to the success of our programs.  They may manage up to 3 client projects over the length of one cohort (10 weeks). The goal of a project manager is to ensure that the re:Bloom team and the client both have a good experience, respectively.

All of our projects follow a similar 10 week structure where you will consult with a small business organization to help them reach a business goal.

What kind of businesses do you work with?

re:Bloom does its best to take on businesses that would benefit from our help. While we are open to working with anyone, we currently work primarily with women and minority owned businesses in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.
